About ColorSpark Jewelry

ColorSpark Jewelry — elegant, unfussy and easy to wear fine handcrafted jewelry with an emphasis on smooth lustrous surfaces and meticulous craftsmanship — is made by hand, one at a time, using professional jewelry-making techniques in our studio in the United States.

Each style is a limited edition of 10 or fewer pieces. Most of the materials we use are natural with their own unique qualities that add to the beauty, character and value of each piece. There will be slight variations within the same style.

Periodically we introduce one-of-a-kind pieces made with aquamarine, citrine, tourmalinated quartz and other high-quality and unusual gemstones.

Materials

ColorSpark Jewelry is handcrafted with the highest quality materials appropriate for each design. We expect all pieces of ColorSpark Jewelry to maintain their beauty and value for decades.

We use only recycled gold and silver in ColorSpark Jewelry. So much reusable precious metal has already been taken from the Earth there is no need to do any more mining. "Fair trade" gemstones is a recent evolution in jewelry making. More people are becoming aware of the importance of respecting the Earth and the people who do the dangerous work of extracting the Earth's gifts so slowly but surely, sources for fair trade gems are becoming available. We plan to use more (and eventually only) sources in our jewelry. riches, there are more sources. We also use gemstones from fair trade sources that are respectful of the Earth and its people.

ColorSpark's Name

In the pieces made with Swarovski crystals, every bit of light and color nearby is picked up by the crystals and reflected back, brilliantly, giving each piece a lively, always-changing flickering appearance. Those surprising sparks of color give our company its name.

Our Design Preferences

At ColorSpark Studio we design fine handcrafted jewelry to enhance each woman's unique and natural beauty, and carefully make each piece by hand for long-lasting value and easy wearing.

• We're enthusiastic about Argentium™ Sterling Silver because it is so easy to keep tarnish free and ready to wear!
• We include extender chains on many ColorSpark necklaces so each woman can choose the necklace length that is best for her.
• If it fits the design, ColorSpark earrings are based on earposts rather than earwires because we feel their extra support makes them safer and more comfortable to wear, and in some designs we prefer their solid substantial look.
• Our handcrafted crystal bracelets are made to be loose on the wearer's arm, partly for comfort with the crystal edges lightly touching her arm and partly because the bracelets move more easily, with each movement of the crystals setting off a new explosion of sparkles.

Those are the basics. As in any creative adventure, ColorSpark Jewelry will evolve as we continue to experiment with new designs, materials and colors.
