How to Take Care of Your Silver and Crystal Earrings

Since the silver is traditional sterling silver, keeping your earrings in anti-tarnish paper and inside an airtight plastic bag between wearings will help slow down the tarnishing process. If the silver needs cleaning, wipe with a cotton swab moistened with diluted mild dishwashing liquid. Wipe the soap off with a damp swab and then let the earrings thoroughly dry before storing. Do not immerse the crystals in water. It can harm their finish if they get soaking wet. A polishing cloth can also be used to clean tarnish off the silver but such a cloth can leave a dulling film on crystals. Cleaning carefully with water and mild soap is a better idea.
